This is a fairly large blisterpack, comprising seven figures: a village constable-type who leads the mob and two each of three different types of villagers. The leader bears a slight resemblance to Kenneth Mars in Young Frankenstein, while the villagers have a somewhat diverse look. To me, for example, the fellow with the axe looks like a Paridon resident, while the other two could be from Lamordia or Barovia.

Paint jobs on these fellows are yes, relatively colorful, though now that I think of it, if I could get another set it would be interesting to paint them only in greyscale, to give them that vintage Universal Studios look. With the paired villagers, each figure on the right was painted by my husband, and frankly I very much envy his ability to decorate the vest and lederhosen of the third villager with dainty floral designs!

A special note on the flame of the torches here; they are done by carefully layering nonmetallic shades of yellow and orange onto the sculpted flame. There's some debate on whether the flames should be yellow with orange at the highlights or, as I did, orange with yellow highlights, but when I saw a similar torch-bearing mob in Hammer's Curse of the Werewolf (a color film) the flames did look distinctly orange. The effect seems fine to me.
